Review and looking forward
In the twinkle of an eye, 12 day have passed since I started the 30 challenge of writing a poem every day. I can’t say that how hard this challenge is for me, because the difficulty of writing a poem to me is depend on my inspirations and experiences which requires a important part of element in our lives--Luck. Nonetheless, the ability to grasp the inspirations, and write a poem that feast audience’s eyes is another problem. For example, it was raining hard these days; which is a really nice theme for me too write something. However, maybe was because such a joyful mood I had, I couldn’t blend in my emotion with the bad rainy weather which pull down my good mood. I could only put several mediocre poems which described the rain without any emotion or humor in it. What a pity!
Although I can’t tell if the poem writing is a hard work to me, I am sure that the blog posting every two days is a big stumbling block for me to moving forward. If you let me choose from writing 3 poems a day or a blog post every two day, I will definitely choose poem writing. However, I can not avoid the truth about how much writing skills I have improved from the blog posting, but I prefer to thank for the blog posting at the end of 30 day challenge, as a man who go though all the vicissitudes of life; during the progress, I can not stop being weary of keep blog posting. The reason is that I barely have anything to write about, if I only focus on my poems! Therefore, I need to expand something new to write about for the future, and that’s why my title called looking forward.
After reviewing what I thought for the past 12 days, I think I need to do something for the future. Make some changes now become the most important things I am considering about. First, I think I can try some new ways of writing poem, other than haiku or regular poem writing. I can search different ways of writing poem online and learn from them; which will probably bring me more fun and giving me more theme to write about. Second, I can write poems in Chinese which is the most familiar way for me. Then, I can translate them to English. It not only help me to practice my English skills of translation, but also let me understand deeply about my poem; it is hard sometimes for you to write clearly about what you are trying to say from a language to another. It requires knowledge and understanding of the poem. Finally, I can show my poems to other people, and get suggestions from them which can help me to improve my writing skills. Summarize, finding weakness, and improved it are the best way of advance yourself whatever you are doing. Therefore, I am really looking forward to what I can achieve after I finished the 30 days challenge. Cheer up! Walking forward bravely young man!
